A to Z of Kuboraum for the AW25 Season

A to Z of Kuboraum for the AW25 Season

The new frames from Kuboraum hath arrived. Designed in Berlin and made in Italy, these frames combine forward-thinking, head-turning design with exquisite craftsmanship (especially their latest metal collection).

We’re big fans, but we’ve got to admit that Kuboraum’s naming system is a little uninspiring! This lot prefer to keep things alphabetical with a minimal letter and number system that takes a bit of time to get your head round. G
et the low-down on how The Seen Team classify and consider the collection. Or better still, call into our Manchester store and try on the news for yourself.

Kuboraum K Frames

Kuboraum K61 RUB Ruby 4
The K frames are what we first think of when we think of Kuboraum. Big, chunky Italian acetate beauties that instantly grab attention—dragging classic designs right into the present with bright colours, sharp lines and architectural precision. K5? Ultra-modern browlines with a unique raised bridge. K39? Quite possibly the ultimate cat-eyes. K36? Heptagons never looked so good.

Kuboraum P Frames

Kuboraum P23 Sun BX Bordeaux Sun 5The P frames are another key range for Kuboraum… Some of these are acetate, and some are metal—this time around they’re defined by their Kuboraum’s signature bi-colored tubular temples. You can see this seriously sleek design on frames like the P23 and the P15—with the hefty acetate frames paired with those seriously refined temples. Kuboraum describes the P-series as ‘at the intersection of avant-garde and luxury’. We try not to use overused phrases like ‘startling juxtaposition’ when writing about glasses—but if we were ever going to say that, it’d be right now.

Kuboraum H Frames

Kuboraum H15 SI Silver 5For those who hanker for metallic masterpieces, there’s the H range. Slim, sleek wireframe is the name of the game here—with glasses like the H15 and H22 featuring a very clever double outline design that really shows off the intricate craftsmanship that goes into the making of a pair of Kuboraums.

Kuboraum D Frames

Kuboraum D75 IK Ink Blue 4
Finally, we’ve got the D frames—which as far as we can tell are defined by those ornate metal temples that apparently took inspiration from the elegance of calligraphy pens. We’ve got the D72 and the D75 frames—both variations on a very, very good theme—with flared corners and perfectly exaggerated proportions.

And if you’re still confused, we’d recommend clicking through to the Kuboraum page (or heading down to our Manchester shop) and seeing the whole range for yourself. Whether you understand that complex naming system or not, you’ll certainly appreciate the level of care and attention this brand are putting into their frames…
