Introducing… Kuboraum

Introducing… Kuboraum

We are literally bubbling over with delight to announce that Seen is welcoming an outrageously good new brand to its shelves… the magnificent Kuboraum!

Based out of an old Post Office somewhere along the former border of East and West Germany in Berlin, the Kuboraum team dream up forward-thinking eyewear that fuses classical elegance with gob-slapping modernist twists and turns. Think circular acetate frames with wire cat eye extensions. Or over-chunky sunglasses with voluptuous flowing lines.

Each and every piece is carefully handmade in Italy where they pick out the best quality materials and make sure the frames surpass expectations in terms of quality and craftsmanship.

Kuboraum are one of the most adventurous eyewear brands on the planet, which is why they’re continuously attracting attention from global superstars like Nicholas Cage, Rhianna, and Oprah Winfrey (who wore these frames on the cover of time, no less), as well as artists and tastemakers like Ai Weiwei, Berghain doorman Sven Marquardt, and neo-soul uber-force Erykah Badu.

We wanted to give you a proper introduction to Kuboraum, so we’ve picked out a few from this first batch of the brand’s collection. If you want to see the whole collection, head here or book yourself in at our new store and come and try them on in real life…

Kuboraum K26 in China Blue

Trapezoids have never looked so sultry. The angular, larger size and chunky build of the Kuboraum K26 makes for eyeglasses that are self-assured in their decisiveness. We're also very much keen of this China Blue translucent acetate colourway, available in these frames as well as the rounded Kuboraum K10.

Kuboraum K10 in Pewter

Speaking of the Kuboraum K10, here they are. A modernist take on the round acetate style, these frames are tastefully tugged into the future with the brand’s subtle raised detailing on the bridge and end pieces. These look fine in either the aforementioned China Blue, or this: the near glowing grey Pewter...

Kuboraum N10 in Black Shine

Like an x-ray or a lightening bolt to a cartoon critter, the Kuboraum N10 glasses shows the outer and inner at once — a round, acetate skeleton with a wire cateye outline. You might say that these frames are the sum of those parts; something wholly different when they’re both put together. We likey mucho.

Kuboraum P8 in Dark Tortoise

An angular Aviator-style number, the Kuboraum P8 eyeglasses are macho and attention-catching in equal measure. In this tasty Dark Tortoise colourway, keep an eye out for those gold-coloured details on the end pieces and the reassuringly slim rounded temples.
