It’s no secret that we’re huge, big fans of Californian eyewear design genius, Garrett Leight. We were his first ever UK stockist way back in 2011, GLCO was the first brand we ever had for sale on this very website, and we’ve made sure we’ve been stocking boatloads of his frames ever since. There’s just something about those sunshine-tinged designs that we love here at Seen.

Now one of the biggest names buzzing around the optical industry, Garrett Leight’s gone from a relative unknown to a celebrity-endorsed megastar in no time at all. The son of Oliver Peoples’ founder, Larry Leight, Garrett’s rapid ascension to optical superstardom is more likely due to the consistently on-point frames he churns out each and every collection. With modern classics like the Kinney, Wilson, and Brooks behind him, it’s pretty clear he knows how to put together a timeless frame that, to put it simply, looks really, really nice.
"Overtly Californian, subtle, and sexy, we think it brings together all the good stuff we love about GLCO..."
We’re over the moon to announce that Garrett Leight has just dropped his latest collection and even more chuffed to have loads of it in stock at Seen. An ode to the great purple one in the sky, aka Prince (or is that FKA Prince?), and ‘his ability to mix masculine and feminine as fluidly as music genres’, the collection offers styles that look good on both ladies and gents. Overtly Californian, subtle, and sexy, we think it brings together all the good stuff we love about GLCO...
The squared-off version of the Penmar, the Garfield ain't bad looking at all
He’s continued to put his hand to some iconic metal frame shapes creating some uniquely modern takes on the classics. The round frame continues its return with the Penmar and its bigger sibling, Valencia, both available in tastefully delicate colour-ways.
Chunkier and more angular, the Garfield is a squared-off metallic frame that still sits subtle and slight in all the right places. The aviator-leaning Zephyr, on the other hand, takes this shape squashing to near-triangular extremes, marrying it with a choice of four warming semi-flat CR-39 lenses. Yum.
Grab Boon in Champagne, Matte Espresso and more... (Moody desert backdrop not included)
And Garrett’s not been shy of working his magic with acetate. The Clune is a refined and rounded feminine acetate done softly in some tasty harvest hues. It’s butcher bigger brother, the Boon, is a larger, wider set acetate frame that still maintains an unapologetically easy-going air thanks to its lightness and some classic colour-ways.
The Garrett Leight Clune is a future feminine acetate classic
A modern take on the cateye, Garett Leight's Olive frames are purrrrfect.
Cateyes, too, are back with a vengeance, with Garrett referencing the iconic feminine frame in three brand-spanking new styles. Available in the kind of soft 90s palettes that could make a Wannabe-era Mel C blush, the Vienna is a back-to-basics nudge towards our favourite feline frame.
The curvy, retro-leaning Vista in Rose Gold-Mink Velvet
A fiery and wiry modern cateye, the Olive takes the harsher lines of the classic and smooths and softens them while the Vista accentuates the retro frame’s curves lovingly in a cool range of modern, metallic colours. Meowww.
