Understated, debonair, and deliberate, these pioneers of pocketable design are distinguished demonstrations of postwar ingenuity folders with an origamic display of modernist style and mechanical science dramatically informed by the ever-evolving relationship between art and architecture. From Éditions Pliables—an all new, limited-edition series of eyewear that folds at their bridge and temple tips to transform into a compact and pocketable essential, an innovative design that took over two years to successfully develop. Featuring hairline-engraved wire rims that change from 2mm at the eye to 4 mm at the brow; custom monoblock hinges; new pill-shaped nose pads with bevels; and tailfin-shaped temple tips with recessed volumes.
