Manchester Opticians Seen is Reopening

As we enter these phased changes to the lockdown rules, we’re going to continue in much the same way as we have been over the last year or so. We’re going to keep on being on it with the PPE and sanitising and our team are going to be available across everything from eye examinations to styling and fitting and repairs. 

While walk-ins and browsers will be accommodated when we can, we’re still recommending that you book an appointment at Seen ahead of your visit so you’re not disappointed if there's too many people in the store and we can't squeeze you in. This includes eye-tests, styling appointments, collections and repairs. You can book your appointment for all those here.

Who can visit the store?

Anyone! However, across all services we are recommending that you book your appointment ahead of your visit. We’re doing this to minimise the number of people in the store at any one time and maximise safe distancing.

Eye tests

When we reopened after the first lockdown in June 2020, we initially worked through a back-log of those that had been in touch with pressing eye concerns. However, now we have more availability for you all. Those with the following concerns are advised to get booked in as soon as you can:

We have re-started our reminder system, so if you are due an eye check up you'll be hearing from us very soon.

Styling Appointments

If you want to choose new glasses and sunglasses or you just want to have a browse of all the stupendous new stock we have in for this summer, book yourself in for a styling appointment.

Fittings and repairs

We’re also offering appointments for fittings, repairs and the general sorting out of your eyewear-related niggles. Again, we ask you arrange an appointment rather than dropping in to ensure we sort things in the best way possible for you.

Precautions, sterilisation and PPE

So, how many of you are enjoying your new PPE look? It’s a bit strange, isn’t it? But we understand that community safety is a major concern and rightfully so. If you’re coming to the store, we want you to know that your safety is paramount. Here are some of the precautions that we’ll be taking when you visit us: 

We realise all the delicious eyewear on our shelves will have you reaching out to try them on. And that's cool. Go for it! Just ensure we know which frames you've touched by placing them in one of our trays so that they can have the spa treatment mentioned above after you've left. 

If you have your own mask and prefer to wear it, you are welcome to. Opticians are on an exempt list of retail stores so it is NOT mandatory to wear one while visiting us. We have masks for you at Seen if you need. 

Virtual styling appointments

Virtual styling appointments have proved popular amongst those that just couldn’t wait for reopening, so we’re going to continue them. If you can’t make it into our store, or you’d just prefer a consultation online, we can offer this service from the comfort of your own home. So that’s that, we cannot wait to see you. And while it might feel a bit different, the outcome of walking away with amazing eyewear will still be the same. Thank you for all your love and support as always but particularly during these most unusual times. It really has been heart warming for us all.
