Jacques Marie Mage: Éditions Pliables

On the fence about folding glasses? Wait until you see these.

Éditions Pliables is an ingenious new collection from the Jacques Marie Mage design studio that adds a serious dose of style into the world of folding spectacles.

The key is that clever hinge design which took two years to perfect. While regular frames fold at the temples, these beauties fold at the bridge and the temple tips too—so they pack down really, really small.

Pocketable is probably the best way to describe these—just right for popping in your shirt pocket before you stroll down to the beach. And because they’re made of titanium, they’re reassuringly hard-wearing too.

The range is made up of two frame designs. The Koenig is a ‘60s inspired design with a rectangular shape and some particularly aesthetically pleasing tailfin temple-tips, while the Archibald combines the same high-quality ingredients with a sweeping round lensed shape.
