YOU MAWO’s ‘Vema’ is a particularly feminine model. Key characteristics include the side line with distinctive corners and attention to detail, for example, in the transition from the temple to the front. Viewed from the front, the curved surfaces are particularly noticeable: a soft, harmonious shape. It is named after a 4,600-metre-high deep-sea mountain in the South Atlantic northwest of Cape Town. It is named after an underground volcano in the Pacific, which in turn was named after an American geologist.
