Jacques Marie Mage's 'Photochromic Collection: Hatfield' is an original Icon of JMM originally first released in Spring 2015. These limited-edition spectacles inspired by the rugged elegance of a bygone era have been equipped with responsive photochromic lenses designed to complement the rich hues of their accompanying acetate, featuring JMM's signature arrowhead front-pins, custom 5-barrel hinges, and 'Classic' wirecores with refined hairline details.
The new Photochromic Collection introduces a dynamic new dimension to JMM eyewear: colour that responds, transforms, and reveals itself differently with every change in light. Though traditionally associated with optical glasses, JMM has developed custom photochromic lenses specifically for sunglasses, creating a distinctive palette of responsive colours designed to complement the rich hues of their accompanying acetate. These specialised lenses darken outdoors when exposed to ultraviolet rays and return to a lighter tint indoors, creating tonal combinations that evolve with the environment. Indoors and outdoors, they block 100% of UVA and UVB rays while filtering blue-violet light, combining advanced protection with a distinctive approach to colour, craft, and everyday versatility.
