In addition to the outline with pronounced angles, reminiscent of Lapima’s ‘Stella’, the ‘Elisa’ gains positive lenses and more robust forms, inspired by Brazilian brutalist architecture, with exponents such as the architect Vilanova Artigas – not surprisingly, it had a pre-launch during Aberto, an art fair held in São Paulo, in one of the houses designed by the architect. Every Lapima frame is handmade in the brand’s Campinas atelier, passing through more than 30 precise artisanal phases to achieve its sculptural form and refined Brazilian modernism.
